8 months

Can you believe Caleb is 8 months already? People say to enjoy every moment because babies grow fast...they weren't kidding! As you can see in the pictures, Caleb is all about sicking out his tongue especially when he is happy. He has started doing gymnastics in his crib at naptime and bedtime. We never know what postion we will find him in. Today I found him at the opposite end of the crib I put him down on....hmmm. He continues to be a happy happy boy with lots of laughs and smiles. He will give any passerby a smile as long as they give him attention. I wonder where he gets that attention thing from? He is getting more and more frustrated that he can not crawl. He has done mini scoots and a little bit of rolling to reach things but has not figured out a good way of moving. We are trying to enjoy every moment. It seems like just yesterday he was coming home from the hospital. He was such a little peanut! Here are some pictures we took through out today.

The boy loves to eat!

I tried to get some pictures without the tongue sticking out. I was unsuccessful.

The proof is finally here

Near the end of April, we had managed to get Caleb to say "Dada." At the same time, he started playing a game where he liked to stick his tongue out and have you stick your tongue out at him. Our family traveled to Iowa at the beginning of May, just in time for Caleb to combine his two favorite games. Everytime you asked him to say "Dada" he would just stick his tongue out at you. Of course, as soon as we got home Caleb got back to saying "Dada" again. Here's the video to prove it:

Baby round-up!

During an extended weekend trip, during my first Mother's Day, we got to visit our families in Iowa. It was so wonderful to get to see so many people we love! Becki, Scott, and Isaac even flew in from CA...we were so grateful they were there! We had a CRAZY, busy trip but it was all worth it. We went to Rochester, MN to see Kyle graduate (with honors!). We loved to be able to be there to support him. Congrats Kyle! Though we enjoyed time with both sides of our family, we keep forgetting the camera on the Skipton visits, so here are some shots from the Porter clan baby extravganza. We are thankful to have family that we LOVE to be around on both sides!

Those are joyful grandparents!
