It is hard to believe it is September already. Even though it still feels like summer with 90+ degree days, the summer fun is winding down. It is hard to believe that this time last year I was full of baby, loaded with water and attempting to eat spicy food while taking long walks! Now we are living life with an almost 1 year old. Time flies!
Caleb has been busy the last couple of weeks. He had his first boating trip on Falls Lake. Some friends from church invited us for an evening on the lake. We weren't sure how it would be but it turned out to be a blast! Caleb loved swimming in the lake with his cool baby life jacket. The faster the boat went, the more Caleb laughed and bounced. We all had a great time.
We also got to go to our first NC State game. Probably should have gotten a babysitter but we were being cheap. Ben and I both loved the college football atmosphere! I think Ben is a wolfpack fan now. Caleb had his ups and downs but loved clapping when the crowd did. He also met some older kids that he loved to entertain.
We had a great Labor Day cookout at our friends' Debra and Dennis Close's house. We enjoyed yummy food and good company. Caleb had quite the time. He rode a powerwheel motorcycle all by himself, swam in a kiddie pool, and walked all over the grass.
**Update: Caleb took close to 10 steps last night. He will stand up in the middle of the room, get a huge smile and just start walking. It is so fun to watch!
